The first stone of the Circuit was put on February 24th 1989. Two years later, the circuit of Catalunya opened and the 35th F1 Grand Prix of Spain came to its asphalt. Since then, the Circuit has not missed any Grand Prix appointment reaching the big number of 25 consecutive races. In honor of this celebration, a series of events and activities have been organized in the center of Barcelona.
From may 4th, up to 200 checkered flags welcome the visitors to the famous street of Paseo de Gracia. Besides, other activities have been organized into the city such as: Exhibition of reproductions of Formula 1 cars (Jardinets de Gràcia tent from 4 to 10 of May).
Children road safety conferences (Jardinets de Gràcia, from 4 to 10 of May).
Photo exhibition 25 F1 Grand Prix at the Circuit? (Palau Robert, from 4 to 17 of May). The Grid Girl Pirelli visit the exhibition of Formula 1 reproduction cars (Jardinets de Gràcia Tent, Thursday, May 7 at 20:30h).
Participate in the photo contest # F1CircuitCat25 (Photocalls installed in Paseo de Gracia).
Special croissant made for the celebration (You can buy them in Santagloria establishments during May and June).
Special stand at the Barcelona International Motor Show (Avenida Maria Cristina, from 9 to 17 May).
