A midsummer night's dream... in Barcelona

During summer months, the nightlife in Barcelona picks up high speed. The leisure and cultural activities increase greatly. Having a drink while seeing the Barcelona skyline or letting oneself go for a sensory performance.

These are some suggestions which the city offers. If we want to combine an emblematic place in Barcelona with a complete cultural proposal, our destination is in Paseo de Gracia. The Talents Jazz at La Pedrera combines live jazz on the rooftop of the iconic Casa Milà, with spectacular views of the city. This activity includes a free visit to the attic, where the interpretive space of Gaudí's work is located; followed by a concert on the roof and a glass of cava. An original way to take a visual tour of the work of the unique architect. This 2022, the concerts will be from June 2 to July 29, and the price of a ticket is 38€. You can buy yours here. But the offer of La Pedrera during the summer does not end here. Nor can you miss La Pedrera: Night experience in which there is a night guided tour of the building accompanied by multiple projections, lighting, soundtrack, a show on the roof and a glass of champagne.

Barcelona also has its own theater, dance, music and circus event. The Grec Festival brings together shows of different styles, some of them aimed at family audiences, at the MiniGrec. The festival offers shows until August 6, with proposals such as "A Sondheim Night Music", a tribute to the composer Stephen Sondheim, formed by 40 musicians and eight singers. On the other hand, Jane Birkin or Els Pets are some of the artists who will also perform at El Grec. Discover a cultural experience in a magical setting.

Movie buffs are in luck if they are in Barcelona during the summer. One of the city's summer classics is the Sala Montjuïc's al fresco cinema season. A selection of classic and current films are screened in one of the most spectacular spaces in Barcelona, the courtyard of the Castell de Montjuïc. There is a hammock and picnic rental service, master classes on cinema and the possibility of a guided tour of the castle. From July 1 to August 5, 16 films will be screened. Tickets tend to sell out quickly, so we recommend you get yours as soon as possible. Also, from July 7 to August 11, you can also go to the Cinema Lliure a la Platja, where you can watch independent films on the beach of San Sebastian. This last option, moreover, is free and there is no need to book to attend the screenings.

Our final proposal mixes culture with science. The CosmoNits at CosmoCaixa, offer the best science fiction cinema and the best live music outdoors. From July 7 to August 25.

Endless possibilities to enjoy Barcelona when the sun goes down! And if you're looking for an excellent place to stay, Miramar Hotel is your better option. Book now!
