Barcelona becomes the capital of bridal fashion during the first week of May with the Barcelona Bridal Week, the leading event in the industry on a European level. After the good response in previous years, now the main objective is to promote the internationalization of the event in its twenty-fifth anniversary.
Therefore, the United States has been designated as a guest country to reinforce the international projection because of its strategic position in the fashion market. The Barcelona Bridal Week will take place in Fira Barcelona Gran Via (at Hall 2) and it will bring two special exhibitions: the Pasarela Gaudí Novias Fashion Show and the Noviaespaña International Professional Trade Fair.
The Pasarela Gaudí Novias Fashion Show offers catwalk shows during 5-8 May, where the leading designers will exhibit the trends for 2016 season. Houghton by Katharine Polk will be the big guest star, however the highlights of the catwalk will be the Spanish brands Pronovias and Rosa Clará. You can check the fashion show program to follow it through video streaming, or you can attend by a direct invitation of any designer.
Later, the Noviaespaña International Professional Trade Fair will take place from 8 to 10 May (from 10am to 8pm), where there will be exhibitors from over 220 brands - 50% international - who will present their latest collections to professional buyers. In this trade show you will find bridal gowns and groom suits, but also wedding outfits, first communion dresses, accessories and bijou. This main event aims to shine in quality and innovation, and for this the organization also invites future promises as Natalie Capell or Cristina Tamborero who will share space with other brands already established as Demetrios, Justin Alexander and Cymbeline.
In addition, the organization has planned a lot of activities, events and exhibitions to celebrate this 25th anniversary, including the photo exhibition 'Look at the Bride Side' (located in Passeig de Gràcia street) and an event which will be attended by entrepreneurs, designers, wedding planers, bloggers, photographers and many more This event will take place in May 6 at the Palau de Pedralbes.
